The watch movement is one of the most important elements of any watch. It acts as the engine of your watch and keeps the hands ticking on time. We've chosen a few different quartz movements which allow our watches to operate efficiently and accurately:

Chrono X: 304 stainless steel
Axcent: 316L stainless steel
Marble Rose: 316L stainless steel

Womens Bangle: 316L stainless steel
Womens Braided Bangle: 316L stainless steel
All of our stainless steel products are either 316L or 304 stainless steel. Please see the question above for which products fall within each category.
316L and 304 stainless steel contain small amounts of nickel, but both are considered hypoallergenic and are unlikely to cause any allergic rash. However, please use caution if you have a severe allergy. 316L stainless steel contains roughly 10% nickel and 304 steel contains roughly 8% nickel.
Each of our leather watch straps are made with Brazilian genuine leather.
The Axcent and Marble Rose watches have a water resistance of 3 ATM. Please avoid all contact with water, as water damage is not covered under warranty. The Chrono X has a water resistance of 5 ATM and can withstand a brief submersion under water (i.e. hand washing), but should not be taken swimming or bathing.
Any watch repair shop or Jeweler will be able to assist you with the battery replacement. We don't recommend replacing the battery on your own, as it requires some special tools and you could damage the watch.

The bottom button on the chronograph watches will reset the chronograph to zero. If it is resetting to a number other than zero, follow these steps to get back in sync:
1. Pull the middle knob out two clicks (as if you were adjusting the time)
2. Hold the bottom knob. this will adjust the minute and the second subdials. Once they're back to zero, push the middle knob back in

Resizing a stainless steel watch strap only takes a minute or two. If you ordered your strap from us, the tool you need to do the resizing was included with your order. If you've misplaced it - no worries - you can use a paperclip in a pinch.

If you've misplaced the resizing tool - please reach out to support@donovanwatches.com. It will be difficult to do without the tool and/or visiting a jeweler.
Swapping out your watch strap is quick and easy. Just flip the watch over and you'll see a metal pin on the strap up near the watch case. Just pull back on the metal pin and the strap will release.
Just make sure that the watch strap that you're swapping to is the correct width:
Chrono X: 22mm
Axcent: 20mm
Marble: 18mm

Donovan Watches is based in Annapolis, Maryland. We don't have any physical stores where we sell directly to customers, but we do offer free shipping to anywhere in the world via our website.
For day-to-day care, you can wipe down your watch with lint-free cloth.
Every couple of months, we recommend doing a deeper clean. Using mild soapy water, dampen a soft cloth and gently clean the watch and metal bracelet. Wipe dry with a dry soft cloth.
